trying to use gtkpod to sync the iphone music library was a bad idea.. some music files are removed but the tracks are still there in the db

Exporting that variable will only show you the visible IDE window (as opposed to the gray box you would see otherwise when beryl is running), it will NOT enable you to do some basic things like type a file name in the “New File” wizard, (among other things). Instead, you’ll have to update to Java 6 Update 1. It is, after all, a java problem with the way SWT deals with the beryl Window Manager, and Sun fixed it with their latest release.
